That would make sense as an argument if the US seemed reading and willing to invade any country to prevent abuses to that country's citizens. Then Iraq would be just one example of a general policy.
But the USA, like most countries, has been generally unwilling to interfere militarily in other countries unless something really nasty has been going on for a long time. Afghanistan was a special case, because the USA was attacked by an organization based there, that was aided by the then Afghan government. Much of the rest of the world thought that was justified, and helped out in various ways.
But Iraq? What is it about Iraq that makes it in need of invasion, compared to Iran, or Saudi Arabia (where most of the hijackers and a lot of their support came from)? A lot of the world doesn't see Iraq as justified, and there's some reason for that. I would have expected you of all people to be skeptical of the current administration's propaganda.
