Considering that Arc do a 1/8" 33 piece set of letters and numbers for £10, and bearing in mind shipping, import duties and VAT, this looks rather expensive.

Use some well made old stamps, then use some cheap chinese and you'll save the chinese tools for when your neighbor comes calling to borrow tools.

Good number and letter stamps, if they have not been abused, are nice to use.

I don't think so. A Pryor set like that today costs well over 200 quid. BTW, import duties and VAT on second hand goods like that? You must be joking, right?

Tom,

Absolutely not. What makes you think that the tax law makes a distinction? I have bought plenty of stuff on eBay from outside the EU, and it mostly gets charged if it is over the (low) de minimis limit. Just occasionally something slips through without.

They've gotta pay for those gatsos and cctvs somehow...:-)

Gosh, you sound so proud of your system...:-) Whereas we have a mainly duty free environment and only pay GST (12.5%) on imported goods over $400. Tom

Don't know what gave you that impression - it sucks. "They" even charge import taxes on second hand goods which were originally made inside the EU - I know, I've paid it often enough.

I bought two holders like that and a bag of loose type from Grahams of Birmingham about twenty years ago for about £20. I shall have to add making a box to keep them in to my round tuit list. Bill H Derby
