62.5 g limit for Teddy Bears and Pillows

Oct 14, 2003 12 Replies

The BATFE today announced that teddy bears and pillows greater than

62.5g are considered dangerous explosives and fall under their storage requirements.

In addition, artists are now considered to be potential terrorists. Ashcroft, who has kept abreast of the artistic community, announced that he was not surprised.

This is way too close to realistic attitudes.

The fact that terrorists are exploring the use of nitrocellulose as a weapon shows how futile it is to try to ban or regulate materials. There's always some way around it, some new or creative way to smuggle, hide or create weapons. The only real solution is to wipe out as many terrorists as possible and never let up on them.

What? Explosive teddy bears?

Man, we don't NEED reductio ad absurdum. The government does it FOR us.

"The government can have my teddy bear when they pry it from my cold, dead fingers!"

no need for the bending over. didn't you see the terahertz wave machine the Customs department demonstrated recently? it can easily find stuff on or in your body.

THz photons fortunately are easily blocked by aluminum foil. so now I not only need to wear layers of it in my hat but need to roll it on all over. or maybe start selling titanium "privacy" body lotion.

Somebody beat you to it Cliff...
