Rocket launch with BoyScouts

Last weekend my scout troop held the first of what I am sure will become an annual event. Three pads, about 15 kids, and at least 10 adults.

Some adults flew or were retriever crew while others just watched.

At the end of the days event I gathered everyone up and told them that the fun they just had may be going away sooner than they might like. I told them about legislation in the patriot act and elsewhere that is putting the model rocketry industry through dire straits.

I urged them to look up NAR.ORG and SAVEROCKETRY on google.

I told them to check out this group too.

I hope to put together a flyer that has contact info and good starting points so that they (parents and scouts) can be come educated in the issues and act accordingly to help keep model rocketry alive.

In particular, if they visit:

and look "Informational Monographs" they'll find a document with suggestions for running Scout launches.

Could you post that flier somewhere. We're doing a scout leader show in a couple weeks, and could use it for that. We've already got a 1 page NIRA flier, and we can just turn it into a two sided flier.
