"Rockets" magazine has started accepting subscriptions

Also, I just had confirmed from Bob Utley that the new magazine will offer "protected" delivery for $1 more per issue -- otherwise they slap a label on the magazine and send it out. The new delivery option will be on the web site soon.

And you can rest assure that the first issue will have the correct dates!

I just signed up for 12 issues, and I've asked for advertising information. I know these guys, and I believe they'll give it their best shot...even though they often don't show enough respect for the sacred English language!

Nope. I published California Rocketry magazine which kickstarted the HPR industry itself. I was clearly a frequent flier.

There was no formal contract for many years. The current Tripoli board finally created a formal contract with HPR. The contract was terminated for non-performance.

There was a WRITTEN promise both in the magazine and at the associated (TRA) websites of a price and a frequency. The price was collected and the frequency was NOT delivered.

That "promise" was indeed a contract.

For normal US delivery, will they be sending this out via the magazine rate, instead of the more expensive rate that HPR used?

A "promise" is NOT a contract.

Going from memory, the formal contract was in place for only one, maybe two years. You could reread the BOD minutes if you want the exact dates.

Since there was no formal contract, I don't know why the BOD couldn't have terminated the deal at any time. I think some of the old BOD members simply didn't care, especially since Bruce Kelly was president and HPR publisher.

The new BOD decided there should be a formal contract to see if Bruce would finally live up to his obligations and he didn't.

If I were you, I'd call him up. IIRC a while back I saw something here that said he has a hobby shop in AZ.
