Does anyone have evidence of how (in particular where) the Aeronica G-1 glide bomb was attached to a B-17 (or any other ac) in WW II? Info on what units used this type of bomb would also be welcome.

I don't know much about the system, but seem to recall a photo of one mounted on the external hard point just outboard of the bomb bay (a standard detail for oversize bombs, a mounting point for a bomb rack unit) On other aircraft, I'd have to guess a wing mounting as clearance allowed.
