AIR: Mosquito Info

May 07, 2004 2 Replies

A while back someone was looking for some info on Mosquitoes in USAAF service. I bumped into a large article with more than one page devoted to USAAF service in Wings of Fame, Vol.18. Colour profiles are included.

BTW, Bill Shuey, the Swiss plane is also in there.

That would have been me, Bill. Thanks!

The 801st / 492nd Bomb Group (Carpetbaggers) operating from the UK in WW2 flew a couple on clandestine missions supporting various activities behind the German lines. One was named "Patty."
