I hear that it comes complete with a small metal strip for diorama use, to set on a runway in front of the speedbird!

I also hear it will come with special simulated flames and smoke form the left wing. Cool, Very Cool!

I may have to buy one and rejoin IPMS/USA to display it as a crash? ProMedeler#33393

How/why a "pre-view". Has not the kit been out for *months*? On the Yahoo airliner group, the pluses and minuses of the kit's engineering and construction have been discussed extensively.

please add avril lavigne to your stars list.

Nahhh....If I add her, then I would have to add every *other* star who merits such inclusion. I only have a 60gig hard drive, and it is already about 90% full...

:o)

That *does* remind me of a "Simpson's" episode however. Some mystery person was threatening Bart. Lisa, trying to figure out who; asked Bart:

"Bart, who have you been sending threatening letters to for the past few years?"

"Linda Lavin?", replied Bart.

"No! I mean someone who *didn't* deserve it!"

:o)

Not been out months here.

Thanks for the pointer, it was helpful - I don't usually model airliners so I wasn't aware of the Yahoo group. First comprehensive write-up I've read, none of the e-zines I have bookmarked have covered it., Cheers, Bill.

No...I was just curious. It *has* been out for a brief while...but I was wondering if it was just a "limited" release, only seeing a few select markets.

It was first on sale in the UK at RNAS Yeovilton airshow on Saturday 18 September - two days before its 'official' release on Monday 20 September.

I make that almost two months - all but 5 days.

We're all really time challenged here. Elections, switching from Daylight to Standard, whatnot. Anybody have their Christmas decorations up yet? ;)

Most of the stores went from Halloween right to Christmas. They're even playing carols over the Muzak. I have to listen to Sabbath, Motorhead, and Priest for an hour to clean that crap outa my brain! I hate Christmas! The only thing I like are the programable chase lights. Cheers,

The Keeper (of too much crap!)

around here the radio plays Sabbath, Motorhead, and Priest, so i have to blast cabaret voltaire, einsturzende neubaten and skinny puppy to get that crap out of my head. (g)

Apparently, well in the UK at least, demand has exceeded supply with the first production run selling out almost immediately, I've got one (coming for Christmas off my niece) and I don't build 1/72 any more, but Airfix/Heller deserve the credit for taking the plunge and who knows it may finance their next 1/48 British jet, who knows maybe we'll get a Canberra yet.

Also, I think Mr. Hannant mentioned that overseas sales were a tad weak. The kit is so *big* and heavy; that the shipping cost to the U.S. actually exceeds the retail of the kit!

Einsturzende Neubaten? Respect! Cheers, Bill.
