I'm currently working on the Airfix 1/24 Stuka and the instructions are unclear when it comes to painting the crew uniforms. The basic uniform colour is Humbrol 96 which is RAF blue-grey. This is fine for the legs and arms but the illustration doesn't make it clear what part of the torso should also be this colour. The parachute harness is supposed to be matt white but the illustration implies that the parts between the harness straps should also be blue-grey, as if this is the uniform jacket. But the shape of the moulding looks as if this is the parachute itself - so what colour should that be?
