MiG-25 re-issue question..

I wonder if Revell-Monogram will re-issue the MiG-25 Foxbat in 1/48 scale? We have not seen that one been done. Since now there are paints out there to paint it, we do not have to worry about mixing. Is this logical?

Revell Germany has listed the 1/48 MiG-25 for a 2004 release. No word on whether it is a reissue of the old kit, or a new tool kit.

What will you bet?? Wanna get a pool going here, new tool or re-release? My bet is re-release.

I would tend toward re-release.

Shoot, I don't think it will hurt. We now have the right colors for it now. Most folks were very disappointed about not having the right colors of it. I know it was a disappointment on the details of the plane. Just think, if someone have the nerve to make the detail set for it, then I would think it would be a great model. We all know now you can get ejection seats for it, the right interior color for it, and it would be great to detail it for pros out there.

But pobodys nerfect, I think if it was re-issued, then it would be a great kit for a good challenge.

Snip.............

I don't have that problem - a quick spray with a can of Halford's 'Ford Polar Grey' acrylic car paint - and I have as near perfect match for 'VVS Grey' as I am ever going to need.

I have just done my Tu-22M3 with the very same colour - that and Halfords 'Appliance White' on the undersides - and the painting is a doddle.

(Halfords is a chain of car/motorcycle/cycle accessory stores here in the UK btw)

We keep hearing you guys in the U.K. brag about how good these Halford's paints are but they are not available in the states'. Sort of the reverse situation regarding Johnson's Future.
