OT: DAMN...I bought another guitar...

...another Les Paul. I just can't stay away from the things. This time it's a modern Special - one of Gibson's "Guitar of the Week" series. LP Classic Custom...done black beauty style, with P90 soap bar pickups, one of 400 to be produced.

I got a sweet deal and couldn't help it...it's at Gibson now, should have it in a few...

...and then I had to add a couple Moogerfoogers to the deal just 'cuz...the phaser and the low pass filter. Oh, HELL-yeah!

Been doing most of my riding back and fourth to work - supposed to start physical therapy on my left shoulder...been waiting for an opening. Last resort before I may have to go under the knife.

A friend is waiting on a vintage 347...

Still trying to talk myself into a Strat...I really like my Tele, but I always find something else when I go Stat-shopping. Maybe before year's end...

...if I don't get hooked on any more Fulltone gear - lovin' my TTE!

Saw a nice guitar the other day. It was 'a little worn' from playing.

100% original.

Oh, it was btw a 1965 Fender Stratocaster. Was it up for sale? Nope said the owner, and I can perfectly understand him. The owner was btw a guy 20-25 years old :-) If he could play? YES!!!!!!!

Those sights puts stars i my heart :-)

I got the Mooger Foogers home, and then sound INCREDIBLE! There's nothing that compares to the sound of a pure analog effects box.

I pick up the Les Paul tomorrow! Big check time...

Right now I know where there's a couple more going for much more than that - some go for six figures.

For some reason, vintage guitars are becoming a serious investment draw. I had a conversation with a guy in a store I shop in in Illinois and he was saying that about 80% of what they sell now goes to collectors and not to musicians - and that a lot of times the collector doesn't even play. Said he sold a rare vintage Les Paul to some lawyer recently for in excess of $200,000 and the guy didn't play and wouldn't even touch the guitar. He said that he really started noticing the trend about 3-5 years ago.

It's making it harder for people who do play to get hold of a premium guitar these days. People are even buying up the newer ones and just sticking them in closets for 20 years to appreciate. I have two Gibsons that I am the original owner of that are now worth at least four times what I paid for them just because they're late '70s vintage. And Gibsons.

I play all of mine - some more than others. I have nine now...I'll pick up and play about any three of them on any given day.

This new one is going to be a player - plugged it in today and it sounds incredible. I'm going to have to mess with my effects patching for a couple new boxes, but once I get it dialed I'm gonna have some fun.
