October 4 and 5 will be the dates for this year''s model warship and submarine regatta at San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. Once again, the event will be held in the Flycasting Pool, a clear body of water that is perfect for model submarines. Modelers from around California and beyond will be bringing both surface warships and submarines in a variety of scales. A contingent of r/c naval combat ships will also be there to introduce folks to that segment of the hobby. Admission is free to spectators and those who wish to bring their models for free running, and a modest fee is collected for those who wish to participate in the contest portion of the regatta.
This is a great chance to see a variety of warship models as well as the latest in model submarine technology. Some vendors will be there too for those who wish to make a purchase or two. There will also be a raffle.
