Su-25 colors?

Oct 23, 2003 2 Replies

What's the right underside color for a soviet/russian Frogfoot? Some sources say light blue, some others instead suggest FS 36375. In fact in some photos is seems light blue, in others it seems a blueish gray. I wonder if it's the same color that fades to gray with age of if there are different color schemes.

Also, there were some Su-25 based in eastern germany (at Brandis I think) that had an unusual color scheme with irregular patches of tan (or light brown) sprayed over what seems the "regular" camouflage (red

30 is one of them), does anybody have more data on that color scheme?

Thanks in advance

I have the Squadron/Signal reference but all the pics are in black & white. Of the various photos I've seen, the bottoms range from off-white to powder-blue. Of course you have to take lighting, weathering, contrast, and angle into account. Ken Duffy has some great pics @ Lindenhill Imports ->
