Topgun F/A-18 #42, any photos camo diagrams?

A request from my friend Petr in Czech Republic, he is looking for photos or diagrams of the camoflage upper surfaces:

Keith, I am going to build F/A-18 Hornet and so I try to find an interesting camouflage. I would to ask you, if you or your friends have a photograph of F/A-18 from Topgun (NFWS) in desert camouflage with number 42. It has no lightning under the badge of Topgun. A painting of this Hornet is in Walkaround, but I cannot find camouflage for uppersurfaces. I will invite references for another interesting camouflages, for example F/A-18A number 304 from VFA-97 in desert camouflage. I saw many photos in

but I am still missing a photo of the tail part. I do not know serial number and if there was painted. Thank you.

as far as i recall the magazine 'air forces monthly' had a few pictures of the F/A-18A concerned in one of its issues, though i don't recall exactly which issue it was. you could also try trawling through the photo gallery section of the US Navy website. the photo gallery there is VAST so it will take some time to find what you are looking for.

and follow the links as they say... :)

second, the polish or czech [i cant remember which] firm hi-decal, have a desert camouflaged F/A-18A of VFA-127 on one of their decal sheets if you can find it. also in one of the hasegawa F/A-18A reboxes, a non standard grey/blue camouflaged Hornet of VFC-12 or 13 has appeared in the last three years or so.
