Am I imagining this, or was there an article in FSM some time ago about converting a 1/72 F4U corsair to the prototype model? You know, the XF4U or whatever it was called. I was thinking there was a how-to article by Paul Boyer, but I don't remember. Anybody recall?

I remember waaaaaaayyyyy back in the early to mid '70s an article in one of the Challenge Pubs model mags converting I think, the old Hawk 1/72 Corsair to the prototype. When I built mine a few years ago, I think I just built it from an Academy (?) F4U-1 & a P-47 razor back canopy/windshield & other odds & ends.
