OT: Cosmis Blobs is here.

Yes folks, Kiddy SW is here. Create unbelievable shapes in half the time on half the CPU power with half the gaphics card. Cosmic Blobs. Compact, Fast and Fun (and relatively bug free). And you don't have to be able to read or do math to use it.

I agree. It is a pretty cool tool.

You know there are two things they could add to it:

The ability to record animations using cels.

The ability to map a 2D graphic onto a surface. Imagine Bob Zee's face on a Cosmic Blob.

"Cosmic Blobs is awesome". That is not my comment, it is my daughter's. She has created blobs into little boy scouts, squirrels and snails. As your child searches for more than just KidPix and Lego software, here is the next level that takes a giant leap with imagination. Bravo to SolidWorks for taking a chance on such a tough market. "Geometry is so cool." - when is the last time you heard pre-teen say that! Marie

I too am faced with the fact that my daughter is running CosmicBlobs on my computer. We have to share. You need computer power and a modern graphics card behind the animations when the models get big - sound familar? CosmicBlobs lists minimum and recommended requirements on their web site under the Download button - 3D video card with 16MB (minimum) to 64MB (recommended). Yes it is time to go shopping. Regards, Marie
