I have been using photoworks to enhance a new product line with good results generally. A problem has come up with a black faceplate that has white edges in the assembly. I cannot get rid of the white edges except to bandaid it with face property tools which do not render properly.
Can anyone suggest how to get back to a neutral playing ground on this? I have set every possible setting back to Solidworks default settings but the porblem persists.

When you edit a material on a part file and save, then go back to the assembly, sometimes the changes don't seem to take. If you close down the SolidWorks session and restart, the new material will now be reflected in the assembly. This work around is something I read in this group some time ago and I have just again used it recently. Not sure why this has not been fixed yet because its been like this for quite some time. The explanation was that the old material is still in memory and that's what Photoworks uses. Even reloading the part may/may not correct the issue. Maybe this will work for you too? Good luck.

months back, i had the same problem... only resolution was to check the lighting in the feature tree against a few other different parts. turns out that photo works added additional lights here. delete these additional lights and this should put you back to all original colors.
