SP3.0 also installed "PDMWorks Workgroup" into an ACAD installation (complete with non-optional splash screen) without asking. Very annoying.
Since it took me a few minutes to figure out how to get rid of it, here's how: Find the acad.rx file, edit it in notepad. Delete the line that references PDMWorks. If that was the only line, delete acad.rx becasue it causes longer load times, even when empty.

To be fair,.. (did more test on single parts) it ranges from 1% to ~20% slower. In general though, the biggest problem is the way '07 delays (releasing the desktop back to the user) after the rebuild? It seems SW is repainting the screen or rebuilding the 3D graphical data differently?? Also, the open and same times are longer, about 2X. (that is, 10 secs =
20 secs.. it all adds up on a day/project) What is interesting, the file size,.. in sp3.0 it looks like they are now FINALLY saving at about 1/2 the size (marketing ego monkeys!)? But, again, it takes twice as long to save now!?!? SW is slow enough so, this all adds up in a day/project.(Nothing new here, be on your way...) 8^/
