cannot remember seeing a throttle governed version. Does anyone know of the whereabouts of any please. Dave Croft. Warrington. England.

There was a 5/6hp at Barleylands today, but is was rod operated exhaust and what looked like atmospheric inlet.

Yup, my shed. What does he need to know, Dave?

Arthur, Have you got that Lister A unsiezed yet :-) and..Dave. I'm still not seeing any of your posts as you still use the same dummy email as Gareth D*****ad. ttfn Roland

Roland, do I detect some urine extraction? I hope you haven't been taking lessons from the Airy Bean :-).

Oh ye of little patience. Not quite yet, old chap. It is as tight as a rigor mortised duck's. When I get hold of a big enough plastic tank, it will get electolysised. If that doesn't do it then a long bath Rudolf's (not the reindeer) fluid is next. Plan (c) is Dr. Sledge on the crankcase. Progress so far: I've got it out of the Landrover ;-).

Any other suggestions would be welcome. How's the Ogle running these days :-).

Regards, Arthur

Hi Roland, the provider of the service tells you to use that E Mail. I have changed it to the first alternative. See if you get this. Dave Croft

I know that spam can be a problem, but surely it is easier for everyone if genuine email addresses are used? Replying to a munged email addy is not only a pain but also puts people off communicating.

Many ISP's offer spam filtering now (including Easynet) so it shouldn't be a problem for most folks.

Hi Peter, I took the step I did because after using this & 2 other groups for 3 years my spam posts had reached 300 a day. When I started using spam filters I still received about 20 a day. I decided when I changed my E Mail address, not to use it on Newsgroups & this has kept my address OK for two years. If anyone wants my address just ask on list & I will reply off list. It was merely a polite enquiry :-) Retires mortally wounded..... Roland

As Peter states trying to contact someone with an invalid or munged address can be a real pain. Apart from that, in the case of most news service providers using such methods is contrary to their TOS/AUP. In the case of yours this page:

makes that very clear. As this is generally a peaceful group perhaps you will never experience a problem, but in groups where point scoring and petty squabbling is the norm you could find that someone fires off a report.

If you or for that matter any regular user of this group wishes to use a free working throw away address I will be happy to set one up for you. I set up whatever(at)nospammershere.co.uk specifically for Usenet posts. currently anything apart from the one I use and admin@ is up for grabs. For instance you could have davecroft(at)nospammershere.co.uk or anything else you might care to use. If the address eventually starts attracting spam you simply block it and select a new bit before the @nospammershere.co.uk and I amend it for you.

If it is of interest send me a plain text email with your choice of part before the @ together with the real address you want it redirected to.

snipped-for-privacy@nospammershere.co.uk is blocked because there is a virus that forges admin@whateverdomain in an attempt to fool the recipient to opening up an attachment claimed to stop the recipients email account expiring. As the owner of the domain and therefore the admin it's not a problem to work out that I did not send an attachment to myself, but when someone new to the net gets such a message claiming to be from admin@theirisp it is not surprising so many PC's become compromised with viruses.

Hi, Richard has kindly provided me with a buffer E Mail address so Roland should now be able to see my posts. Thank you again Richard. Dave Croft
