Hi North Wales Transport Extravaganza & Dee Valley Show is advertised as being on the 13 and 14 of Sept. Has anybody been before or is going this year? Is it worth a drive further into Gods Country?

Regards Anthony

We went 2 years ago & found it a small friendly show. Other people have told me that it has increased in size every year. see

Anthony, I went last year and enjoyed it. See my webshots under Corwen rally.

A good place for Welsh engine spotting. Usually a couple of Powells (2 last year) about. I'll be visiting one day, probably Saturday. I was going to take one of the Bamfords, but (a) I left it too late to book in, and (b) the 4hp (the most presentable) is waiting for her new rings to arrive, having become a grumpy starter.

Mark Drake will hopefully be there with his weird, wonderful and very rare Edwards twin horizontal, though sadly it's not running yet.

What day are you going, Dave?

Regards, Arthur G

It is a good show with something for everyone and seems to get bigger and better every year. I believe that there will be a bus service from Carrog station to the Showground, As it will be at least 12 months before another opportunity, this would seem to be a pretty good chance to combine a trip on a steam train from Llangollen, take in the show and have an excellent day out for all the family.

Will be heading down myself on the Sunday, look out for a long haired yob, and I'll be with her!!! (Glad SWMBO doesn't read this group, he he)

Cheers Anthony
