Lister G?

I always thought this was one of those engines which fell into the 'seldom seen' category not due to any particular rarity, but because their rather anaesthetic design did not appeal to collectors. That said, this one seems to be selling rather well - somebody must love them!

Having had a G2 which I rather liked but needed the space (and having nearly another for spares still) I've been watching them for months. The G2 seems to make around 200 and the G1, being lighter and rather less thirsty makes around 300. For the Kero version add 50. The worst thing about them is that the stinking Solex always piddles over the mag with inevitable consequences! Wouldn't life be difficult if we all had the same taste in engines (and spouses:-) It was good to meet you on Sat and put a face to the name at last. ttfn Roland

Hey man, I ain't dissing de G (or should that be Le Roi?). No, I like to see the widest possible selection of engines on the rally field - not just the pretty ones with lots of shiny whirly bits to wow Joe Public. I thinks it's this rather than the sheer numbers which makes Astle park so good.
