Cumbria Steam Fair

Hi, I first posted this four days ago & all the pictures were checked as in OK when I posted to the group. Later someone said that some were missing & I found several had disappeared. I reported it to Webshots & they said you had to wait for 70 working hours for pictures to be posted. They have re-appeared today. Has anyone else had problems like this with Webshots?

It depends largely if the Americans are awake! The East Coast is five hours behind us and the West Coast eight (GMT), so I find that if I put photos up in the early hours of the morning, it gets progressively better as I work. Better still is to do it first thing in the morning - 7.00am +

But really, I've found no problem, an hour being the longest I've had to wait, but I'm a Premium customer (I pay for the privilege!) so that might possibly make a difference, I dunno.

I am also a paying customer Kim, It's well worth the money! This is the first time I have had problems like this.

I don't see the point in causing yourself problems just to stop a few spam messages. Some if the twists and turns that people seem to take to avoid getting spam messages often make more work than they save.

It's just as easy to put up a fake email address than use the snipped-for-privacy@privacy.net address which, as Roly says, is used by so many trolls that it is in itself completely worthless now.

Me included, climbed in bath at five after some plonker with a truck decided to unload god knows what outside my bedroom. Must admit that I fell asleep for half an hour whilst in there so officially only up since six, will that do................

How can you fall asleep in the bath in the morning?? Late at night after a hard day I can understand, but in the morning! That's one benefit of a shower, you can't fall asleep in it :-))

Just received the quartely magazine from the USAF Museum at Dayton in the post this morning. We joined the museum's members last year on our visit there, and they send a very nice magazine out, plus decent discounts in the museum shop....

Being very local to Chelveston, Podington and Gt Staughton airfields (Bomber bases mainly, 8th Air Force) we have been able to assist with information for people in the USA and other places who were over here in WWII. Only in a small way, but it's nice to help.

There was a group based at Exeter and a local pub had all the crews signatures on the bar ceiling. Sadly I learned recently that the ceiling fell down :-( ttfn Roland

The words large bath, hot water and relaxing help :-)) Can't have a shower water pressure not good enough for a pumped unit. If Lyn turns cold tap on in kitchen then nothing reaches bathroom, water board have checked supply and deemed it adequate, water meter shows no leaks :-((

There are a couple of painted wall in Barracks still standing on old bases over here on the East Anglian aircraft carrier.

Whilst working at Duxford on Mary Alice B17G and the Superfortress I was honoured to meet a few bomber crew members.

The right-hand larger paddock has a brown patch where the hosses have been grazed within the electric fence area.
