Something of a departure for me as Paul has said - dunno why, it just called to me. Now, of course, I need to make up a valve chest cover, a magneto base plate to carry a magneto, sort out the drive, find it a water container, drill & bolt the recently manufactured mainshaft flange to the flywheel & fit it up with a trolley. All this must be done to ensure a less than 32" height, so it will fit in the back of a Volvo estate ;o))

The oil filler lacks the correct, fine pitched threaded plug & a makeshift lump is lightly in by half a thread. Other than that, it seems to be fine with compression & smooth turning.

I think it may be a marine engine as there is a little anchor next to the engine number.
