Bachmann Deltic Review.

Just go back to the start of the threads, it was all there. If you don't have the messages yourself you can find them at google groups. We don't want to start this off again. Keith

Gentlemen, please please can we end this soon!

I know this sounds corny - but after all the title of the group is uk.rec.models.rail...

I'm 50:50 regarding SJ and other peoples comments on Bachmann's products. Yes they are not 100% accurate but I'm happy to a certain extent as it means that I can ditch older models with poorer mechanisms. Mr Jones has gone back to USA modelling, and I don't think he will be posting on this group any longer (being a uk.rec.models group)

Alan,

I quite agree.....

From day one, I requested direct dialogue with SJ, only, regarding his actions towards myself and other's..!! More and more people are now advising of his unnecessary, heavy-handed actions towards them also. Unless you've been on the other end, I appreciate it being difficult for you, personally, to comprehend.

Regards,

Colin.

Hi Keith,

I've been following the thread from the beginning and don't want to "start" anything at all, but it would just be nice for the subject line to be altered in order to differentiate between what is being written about the Bachmann Deltic and what is not. Surely it can't be that difficult for people to do this?

Cheers, John.

er, that's the reasonnhe shut down the class 47 site, NOT the others! The panic downloading happened because a lot of the others had ALREADY been shut down. As I've said before it is a shame they have gone because they were very good sites.

The others were shut down because of a GBP200 per month bill for bandwith use. Repeat GBP200 per month.

Look on the bright side, one of the sites I'm closely associated with (not my own) runs to $3,500+ per month AND just for the record it has nothing to do with scantily clad ladies of negotiable virtue.

But I bet it's not *non-profit making* and run by one individual! ;-)

Well ... it does have it's ups and downs, certainly it was sold recently for a 5 figure sum (although the original owner is still a VP - you know how these colonials like their titles. ;-)

I work for an American bank, and some years ago I found out what VP really means.

VP (Vice-President) indicates somebody who is authorised to speak or sign documents on behalf of the firm (which is American-speak for what we in the UK would call "the company"), otherwise the only person who could do that would be the President of the firm. All other titles between President and Vice-President (such as Director) incorporate the idea of being vice-president even if they are not specifically mentioned.

Well I think Mr Jones is a very very wealthy man, considering the numbers of locos and high quality equipment he owns - being a computer programmer helps!
