Bingham MRE at Cotgrave today (sunday)

Smaller show thats growing, definately one of the best (friendliest) with excellent set of layouts and some good traders. A must for future years. The tot managed a go on a few layouts (amenable lot :-)) but special go on Holcombe Brook where John gave him an excellent tutorial with big smiles all round. Great to see him enjoy a shunting end to end type layout with proper operating instead of 200 mph roundy... - and thanks to John's good lady who let him continue and chatted with us both.

There was a O guage layout that I recon should have won exhibition prize. One of the best scenery have ever seen in O but also for the scratch built card locos. Have seen these or similar before on static display and always thought very nice but not really practicable. Proved wrong by this layout, card locos were excellent runners - most impressed.
