Rumour has it that they are coming in two batches, the second being due in May.

Many thanks for the latest update - I have heard nothing recently from Hatton's so any news is welcome.

In continuation of previous (and somewhat sporadic) traffic on this subject, the May edition of "Railway Modeller" has a review of the first two examples of the Hattons/Heljan Beyer-Garratt. The two reviewed are Nos 4970 and 4978; both are in LMS livery and both have the original (i.e. non-revolving) coal bunkers; 4970 is in pristine condition and the latter is lightly weathered. The review is pretty positive - the magazine only arrived this afternoon and I haven't read it in too much depth yet - and there are a further ten versions of this model awaited.

Hope this helps,

Thanks. I might even break open the piggy bank and purchase a copy of RM.

My Garratt is due in May/June I think - a heavily weathered early BR emblem version.

Well, I just had an email from Hattons to tell me that my order for item number 266211 which is 47981 hevily weathered, has been put back to July.

Which gives me even more time to save up.

Good evening all,

Have received this evening an Email from Hattons asking me to update card details, after which I presume (and hope!) that the long-awaited heavily weathered Garratt will be despatched shortly. Will keep this group posted if/when any other information is received.

Further to my previous posting (below), I have now been advised by Hattons that the Garratt has been packed and is being despatched. Hope other waiters are also receiving this good news.

In continuation of my messages below, it arrived safe and sound today. Well packed by both Heljan and Hattons, it looks really good and I am very pleased with the end product of quite a long wait.
