I hope that the goods he receives are not quite as mangled as his grammar, spelling and punctuation.

Well, he's a colonial, have to forgive him for that. Only just got rid of the shackles etc..

Most uk shops will do mail order to aus, heres a directory:

If you want the flying scotsman, best way to get it is in a set or split from it. (bear in mind that Hornby are retooling it for 2005)

British models are not made to HO scale(1:87), they are made to 00 Guage (1:76), which run on the same track.

Ebay's uk site has a massive amount of Hornby / bachmann etc, models on it:

hope this helps,

Such a finely crafted response was I feel, totally unnecessary. We colonials would suffer terribly to understand more than short sentences of up to two syllable words.

On the other hand, I for one, find it most impressive that you have acquired the ability of coherent speech, considering as we must, that your parents communicated with a series of grunts and clicks

good luck

:)

haltingly yours

The ability to write does not necessarily infer the ability to speak. I have no information on my father's identity but I my mother emigrated to Australia 40 years ago and my half sister lives in Fremantle, Australia.
