new layout

hey guys

after a lot of thought over the last week or so i've decided to ease back into the hobby very slowly 2 daughters wife and associated pets as well as a full time job doesnt allow for much in the way of free time.

decided i'm going to start with a nice small private freight yard

something along the lines of a nice 2 road shed(with road access) very small yard and a couple of bachmann shunters and a few dozen vans :)

was thinking about a 08 and maybe an 04 or similar and a few dozen vga's

anythoughts or suggestions on a nice trackplan pref that will fit into a

6x2 with scope for a double track thru line so i can connect to the 40x40 loop that will eventually surface one day :)

is what you need! Lots of very small layouts, OK many are US-biased but that can be changed also

cheers del

think i'll start off with kings pancreas as a basis with an extra bit of length maybe go for 8 feet in all with a fiddle and make it a 2 platform terminus with a couple of extra sidings for coaching stock and marshalling of parcels and railfreight oh well looks like i'll be buying some 26's a load of bga's and a good few vga wagons as a starter

think a bachmann08 would be a good start tho :) lets me start playing straight away again

any DCC on a layout like this gen? ie is it worth it?
