I have updated my Fotopic site for the first time in a while with some nice shots taken at Peterborough station this morning. The combination of a decent snowfall and low sunlight made for some quite "arty" photos in one or two cases...

Anything much on the depot today? Got as far as March before turning back when high speed wet snow started falling around 2.30pm!

Someone asked me the other day,why do I take phots in dodgy weather or at night. I gave them a simple answer - The railway continues to run whatever the weather or lighting conditions,so why not record it??!

And you can get a fine picture too - digital cameras seem to be especially good at this sort of thing. Dave, your recent night shot of 47 635 is a classic.

I now have two night shots of 47635,one at Stafford and one at Chester. The difference in lighting is quite noticeable,I'd say the Chester one's the better (unbiased of course!) but both have what I term as "charm",see what you think.
