Track Cleaning Advice

I have just rediscovered the family layout in the attic and would like to get it running again. It was last run about 15 years ago!

Has anyone any advice on the best way to clean the track please.

Ah, but only use it after first giving the track a really good scrubbing with a track rubber or similar.

Just thinking out loud ... but if it's been tucked away in a loft or something like that won't there be a chance of grit and the like laying on the track and using a rubber first you might rub the grit over the rails scratching them?

I don't think that Hornby has released it yet.

NEWS: Hornby Responsible for Climate Change! It is alleged that Hornby may have the answers to the shifting seasons. January, February and March have not yet been shipped to normal outlets and the expected release date of Q1 has been delayed. Q1 will now not be available until midway through Q3. This will result in September, and October feeling much more like an early spring. Q2 will be released around Christmas when Hornby enthusiasts will find temperatures higher than normal. Please be aware than any seasons that are likely to be more than 12 months behind their release date will not be available until the corresponding quarter the following year.

In an effort to cure this problem you are requested to return any summer wear to Hornby for modification. These items will be returned having been modified so that they are more suitable to a rainy season.
