I was spoofing Mr. McClellan's post where he originally said the "never will have been a practiced master" bit. I used his tortured syntax to point out, well, his tortured syntax. It takes away from the jokes, Jack, when one is compelled to explain them.

While it may be true that you never will have been conversant in future perfect tense, I are.

Ahh... being a text only venue, the normal way to point out a joke such as this is with a :-), or a ;-). We couldn't see your grin as you typed.

Also, as a rule, *good* jokes don't need explaining. ;-)
