A parts listing for it is available online, but I didn't see the manual listed.

manual for the LA series is available online. Since the FP and LA are both bushing engines with air bleed carbs, the manuals should be very similar.

Try the OS web site: The 40 FP has been discontinued but you can still get the parts list there. The instructions for the 40 LA should be about the same.
