Printing/plotting font rendering problems

AAD 2005 n.63.0 HP Designjet 500, HP Laserjet 4MV



We are having trouble with some fonts being rendered on the plotter differently than on the screen, with bad results. Here are some examples:



Font: architxt.shx, on screen

the way the 2 is rendered - the arc doesn't meet the base



Font: Complex, on plotter, printer, or preview

the S, N, G



Any ideas? I haven't been able to find any references online.
