HUGE selection...

doesn't meen they are suppose to be there. anyone can do something against policy and get away with it only until they are caught breaking policy. they are against ebays policy. I can assure you that if they were reported to ebay ? ebay would removed them.

Anyone that can't control his "foul mouth" in a public place not only shows his lack of ability to effectively express himself and communicate, and should give you a clue as to who really owns your problem. (oops, there's another clue.)

Guess it's already been said. "Troll boy".

Get some manners and social skills you diarrea mouth.

Not to mention others that find it extremely offensive. It shows a lack of education and an inablity to effectively communicate with others and an obvious lack of command of the language. Not someone worth spending time with. He claims to be defending someone that didn't get the answer he thought he should have. I'll bet the origional poster can be sooooo proud of his knight in sullied armor!

(Kind of like the Gore endorsement of Dean. <g>)

I just want to throw out a few thoughts;

A beginnwr will not ask obout things they don't know about. They won't ask for instructions on how to use expensive equipment that they can't afford.

A beginner does not know about blank identification, finish styles and such. They learn about that a bit later when they start taking lessons.

They don't feel they need to ask about mounting locks; consumer grade locks come with fairly good instructions. Only later will they learn about various backsets, mortice locks, etc.

They do know that there are ways to bypass locks without investing great amounts of cash. They "know" that they have to learn how to pick locks in order to become a locksmith.

So I see nothing wrong with a person asking about picking, impressioning, and bypass in general. Like any other trade, there has to be something to lure new folks. In the eye of the general public, picking is the sexiest thing we do.

On the other hand, when was the last time there was a discussion on this newsgroup about the finer points of using a Framon to cut keys, or how best to minimize wear on files? General locksmithing skills aren't discussed much these days.

I don't care what a Google search will give you. ebay does not and has not for years allowed lockpicks or most locksmithing tools including key machines. You can list them and they will pull the listing.

He said you "should" know. Not that you didn't. And when you respond "Actually, I like Ebay" to "There's this thing it's called Google......" Well enough said.

No. They don't.

Now quit while you're behind.

Dude as someone else said are you really that dense? You can LIST anything you want for sale, prohibited or not. After you list it ebay will pull it. Consequently you are wasting your time trying to buy it.

I look e-bay periodically for various locksmithing items. As you state adds for tools picks etc are inevitably yanked.

Agree. Happy holidays.

A typical response from someone who has already lost the debate I can't even count how many times. The saddest thing is that you probably truely don't even realize it.

Already pulled:

The list may go on but since your very first one was obviously yanked I'm not going to even bother to check further. And FCOL learn how to post a link if you want us to look at what you are babbling about. At any rate I never said you can't list them, I said they were not allowed on there.
