Who Will Stand This Mighty Destroyer of Pretend Engineers?

What exactly is your problem? I'm offering a critique of Bret's designs since you guys are obviously not up to it---although T Keating has at least chimed in with something on topic.

As for John The Designer, why don't you stop acting childish and give the reference? Surely any advertising is good advertising if you have a worthwhile product.

You've been bottom-feeding too long Bret, arguing with Fundatarians and people who 'design' electronics. You forget what it's like to be taken to school by a scholar. And now you have become a Snipatarian--- very sad.

At first I thought you wanted to discuss tech.

Are you going to build the emergency beer chiller or not?

I use a T with clear plastic Si rubbered to the front porthole for a window.

My 'Problem' is the inability to put up with idiots, pretending they know something.

Designs? BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. You are kidding. Aren't you? You can't seriously consider that amateur drivel as a design. I've seen better drawings done in crayon, and stuck to a refrigerator door by a eight year old.

It's John's business and website, not mine. I have no connection with him or his company, other than exchanging messages on USENET, and having one of his business cards. I am now disabled, but I did a lot of work that neither you, nor Bret will ever understand. It included high voltage, high power RF, and military communications equipment. Do you or Bret have anything you built in orbit? I do. Have you ever worked with 5 MW EIRP UHF RF? I have. Have you ever designed & built a commercial TV station from scratch? I have, including the cooling system.

As far as John's products? Seek and yee shall find. You will see that he knows what he is doing.

Someone as smart as you claim to be should be able to find it with a search engine in a couple seconds. All it takes is three words in a decent search engine.

You are being childish, by demanding someone do everything for you.

I don't know that. I have never met you, face to face, but I suspect you would be the exception that proves the rule.

You really are an idiot. KKKahill has always been a snipittarian, and a dodger. Maybe you just don't really read.

No wonder you believe the State owns (or should own) everything.

"But the state tells lies in all the tongues of good and evil; and whatever it says it lies -- and whatever it has it has stolen. Everything about it is false; it bites with stolen teeth, and bites easily. Even its entrails are false.

They are obviously better at spotting an idiot than you are, O pretentious and pedantic one.

But Justice Black said this:

"The State, no less than a private owner of property, has power to preserve the property under its control for the use to which it is lawfully dedicated.=94

The Supreme Court has spoken. Case closed. Game over. You lose.

The knowledge you seek is within, Seeker.

Poor Bret can't see that tg is just trying to help him. Of course, for his part, tg can't see KKKahill for the idiot he is. For tg, it's probably an ideological blind spot. For KKKahill, it's a psychopathological one

The fantasy crowd now no longer even pretends to have an interest in tech.

They are always running away from any tech discussion because they know they'll just make a complete fools of themselves.

I saw the exact same thing on misc.legal where some legal beagle claimed it was possible to get arrested for trespassing on a public road.

You cannot _find_ people that dumb in real life.

How are you going to know _anything_ if you keep snipping and doding issues?

Face reality:

It's irrational to click on a post where you _know_ the poster will waste your time.

Now that BATF has beam weapons and can yer gun out of your live warm hands, shouldn't you be inventing a countermeasure to make sure your hands are cold and dead first?

In the wonderful world of usenet, this kind of talk is pretty meaningless. I don't know if 'did a lot of work' means you did synthetic design, looked up stuff in tables, or were the guy who put the last little shiny screws in on the case of that orbital package. And 'design and build' a tv station is pretty much like what tons of amateur radio operators have done.

My preference is to 'judge' what people are capable of by having a discussion about substance. I observe in all these posts one person who even tried to point out what was wrong with Bret's design (besides me), so I can only assume that you guys are bluffing away just like Bret does.

As for whether what he suggests is a 'design', yes it obviously is. There's even the hint of an interesting concept there, which is why it would be nice to hear from someone more familiar with the details of 'fluidizable' materials.
