CPU ID License question

Jan 31, 2005 1 Replies

Is it possible (and simple) to use a usb network adapter to run Pro/E on multiple machines? I want to run Pro/E on my main workstation and on a laptop for client visits and would only be running it on one machine at a time, so it would not violate the license agreement. I would have a license file issued for the CPU ID of the usb adapter only.

I would like to plug in the key and Start Pro/E without messing with network settings constanly on either machine. Both are running XP.

Any thoughts/experiences?

With the latest FlexLm (Wildfire II) you should be able to disconnect a license from your license pack and tie it to a laptop . . . on the fly. There is a time limit, I just don't know what it is. Maybe someone else here know more of the details.
