Yup....some of my most vivid memories of southern living are of my dad discussing politics at the local barber shop...where the crew cut was the ONLY hair cut.
And the correct politics...George Wallace. I'm surprised we left with ANY hair on our heads.

Oh, so he stayed and never went back? My sister married one of those and we still haven't lived it down. ; ) And to top it off, my daughter graduated from Penn State!
As a contractor I worked all over the country including Texas. From Amarillo to San Antonio to Houston and I can say that I never met a "true Texan" I didn't like. The people I know are all great but they are as I say, true Texans.
I actually spoke with one of his people in the DC office back before he co-sponsored. They knew what I was talking about and were already assembling documentation on it to give the Senator. They were very polite and we all know that Santorum cast his lot with us.
I even got a nice letter thanking me for contacting the Senator about some medical thing for the elderly and saying that he agreed with my position on it.
Hey, he signed on as co-sponsor. That's the important thing.
