I've done some more analysis since my first post. It is not necessarily the
12th simulation, but rather changes in the horizontal and vertical scroll bars simulation results list on the flight simulation tab. The problem occurs when the list changes from neither scroll bars to both scoll bars either to show the results from a new simulation or show simulations as a file loads.
My system will hang with 100% utilization when a simulation is run in this specific case:
- There are neither horizontal or vertical scroll bars in simulation result list.
- But the list is just the right height so that one more simulation result whill force the vertical scroll bar to be displayed.
- AND the list box is just wide enough so that the horizontal space the verical scroll bar will occupy forces the horizontal scroll bar on.
It will NOT hang when I run a simulation in all the following cases:
- When either or both scroll bars are already displayed.
- When new there is sufficient vertical space so results from the simulation can be displayed without a vertical scroll bar.
- When I manually resize window height in such a way to force on the veritcal scroll bar even if this forces on the horizontal scroll bar.
- When the result window is just the right height so that one more simulation result whill force the vertical scroll bar to be displayed so long as either the horizontal scroll bar is already displayed or the window is sufficently wide so that the vertical scroll bar can be displayed without forcing on the horizontal bar.
My problem may be video card/driver related, but I suspect has more to do with the Java control rather than RocSim7 itself. I have a NVIDA GeForce4 MX
420 with latest drivers.
I've reported the problem with full details to Apogee.
