Airfix GMC Truck Instructions

Feb 16, 2008 12 Replies

I recently bought an Airfix 1/72 GMC 2.5 Ton Truck kit without decals or instructions. Does anyone have a copy of the instructions that they could scan for me? I thought that it would be pretty straightforward but there are chassis parts that I can't sort out.

is that one in the d-day set? if so, lmk.

Yes, that's the one (GMC CCKW-353 Cargo with open cab). Any help greatly appreciated!

I found this place which Airfix recommends as they don't have a forum of their own now. There has to be someone in there with the same kit and a scanner?

well, i have to take a big closet apart to get them from the bottom of a huge pile. you're absolutrly sure those are the ones? i can post them to the picture group or you can give me an email address.

ok, they're posted in the picture group.

I'm very grateful to you for taking the trouble to unearth the instructions from the bottom of the cupboard. Unfortunately, I can't access the picture group. Could you send me a copy to

snipped-for-privacy@onetel.com

instead? Sorry to be a nuisance.

Thanks again,

Gordon McLaughlin

The complete instructions have now arrived. I can finally make sense of the bits!

Anything I can do in return?

Thanks again.

help the next modeler along..

Thanks for this link. I've joined the forum and there's some interesting material on Airfix as a company on the main site.

Guess who recommended it in the first place? Airfix! It's moulds might not be the best but it's a company with a heart.

Send him some old Lindberg 1/72 German aircraft. He's a real nut for them.

One of the few modelers around that like the good old stuff.
