I am in the process of completing a F-86D and will be using the Alcad II paints. I am looking for assistance with decalling, specifically the following questions:
- After painting the aluminum, do I need to spray the model with gloss cote prior to applying the decals?
- After the decals have been applied, dried, and cleaned...what do I use, if anything, to seal them? I did a P-38 in the Testors' metalizers aluminum and once the decaling was done, I sealed them with dull cote. It made the finish look more like paint than metal.
Another question, not related to dedcalling, with the Alcad paint I have heard you can mask and paint over them. Is this accurate?
