British Roundels

I have seen many versions of the British Roundel in photographs and on models, and their seems to be a lot of variation in the proportions of the rings. Is there a reference somewhere that shows specifications for the various types and the periods during which they were used? Thanks in advance for any information.

Many thanks to the MoD to allow me to use the word 'roundel'! ;-)

Thank you very much for the link - it answered many questions, some of which I had not thought to ask....

Would they prefer 'target'?

Dunno but there is a credit to the MoD on one of the Wallace & Gromit films. Copyrighted symbols and all that!

I can't find the email I got from their PR Unit but it's something to do with the symbol being seen in the best light. So, war and killing people is out then! :-)
