checking in

Hi Troops:

I've been out of circulation for four weeks getting a replacement left knee and from what i can see on returning I have missed little. I gather some social retardate found a new way to mess with the news group while I was gone, other than that it is business as usual. I understand that the rumors of a 1/48 Canberra have been confirmed, Classic Airframes? I guess John at Aero-Club will drop his planned Mk.9 for good now. Too bad!

How is you recovery on that knee, bill. My ex-mom in law had it and it has changed her life completely although she had a freak complication after the surgery which drastically slowed down her recovery. However, now all that is behind her. It has given her a new life.

Recovery? Well, I'm stiff and sore, when they take a hack saw to your bones I guess that's to be expected. I'm getting around, and now it is just a matter of time, and a couple of more weeks of therapy (i.e. Torture?). I can drive so I'm probably in good shape for about 4 weeks post surgery.

There's a coincidence. A friend of mine also had freak complications after a knee replacement op. Thankfully she's better now and the new knee is working well for her.

I hope your's turns out as good, Bill. Best wishes for your recovery!

The 1/48 Canberra has been announced by two companies. CA and Airfix.

I guess that's what we call a feast or famine situation. I have that Falcon 1/48 kit decalled and am fitting the landing gear as soon as I can get back down to the work bench again. Never fails.

All the guys who are now waiting for the Airfix kits will now thank you! Best wishes for a speedy recovery. One of my cousins had both her knees done down there in Maryland. She had a bad reaction too but is now up to par. BTW, the next time Charlie invites you up for dinner, he'll be the ex-mayor.

I have the resin 1/48 B-57G that I was thinking about starting. I guess now I'll wait and see what the injection Canberras look like before starting the resin one.
