The Revell kit is originally a Dragon mold. However, this new Dragon issue is supposedly an entirely re-engineered mold to solve many of the Revell/Dragon problems.

The consensus from several years ago was that the Dragon kit was far more accurate. The Revell kit is from the same moulds that PM of Turkey used. The kit is buildable but takes lots of work and modification.

As to Dragon's building difficulty I can't say anything on this kit's specifics but I agree (through personal experience) generally with your assessment of their kits.

If you are talking about the new 1/48 kit, it is supposed to be all-new. I have yet to see one in the box but a hobby shop dealer told me he believes it is actually a re-working of the Revell kit, which was originally done for, but never released by, you guessed it; Dragon/DML.

Regardless, Dragon's reputation from its early kits is history. They have been tearing up the armor world with some stunning releases. Superb fit and detail, multiple options, and prices that are quite low for what you get. After taking a break from aircraft, I hope they back.

It isn't new tool, even though DML said it was. It's the same old Monogram ProModeler kit with some extra radar antennas from a DML Ju-88G and also a set of antennas in PE. There is also a new nose piece for one of of the versions they provide decals for.

That's what I've heard. But I've also heard that DML corrested the droopy wing somehow. I saw one in the box at Al's, and I'll proabably pick one up even though I already have the ProModeler boxing. If you don't have one, I'd certainly recommend the DML kit.
