Free usenet servers w/ RMS?

Ever since AoL dropped the Newsgroups, I've been using Google for all the text boards. Still havn't found one that carries binaries.

I am at a loss myself. I tried several. None are dependable. I am back to my ISP server, even though I know I am missing messages. Please let us know if you find a good one.

If you only want to read, there are several - currently reading with news.f.de.plusline.net. Just can't post from there. (My former news server went commercial as well - news.individual.net.)

Don't really care about binaries, so I can't help there. Go to Google groups, poke through alt.free.newsservers (I think that's what it was) or google on "free newsserver."

Well, I guess I was able to find one first. Try this anonymous group server: news.excelonline.com

It was rated as slow but I haven't had any experience about it bogging down.

It's what I'm using now. So it's safe to say it allows posting. Enjoy folks! :D

Plus the fact that i now am able to change my originating address instead of my gmail. It's probably too late since the spammers are probably drooling over that address by now. :p~~~
