Came back from Berkeley Ace Hardware with an MPM Lockheed Vega 5 and a Revell Atlantic.
The Vega cries out "Build me now!". Wiley Post's a/c to go along with Earhart's a/c already on the shelf.
The Revell Breguet Atlantic is simply breathtaking. Quality to spare, lots of itsy bitsy parts, good choice of markings. Only drawback is where is it going to find shelf space?
Oh, and why wasn't it a C-54? :-)

I know from a previous post that we are not supposed to question a certain manufacturers pricing but how come Revell Germany can make such great kits as of the last year or two. Import them from Germany to the U.S. and show a profit by charging 25.00? (for aircraft like the 290, Atlantic, BV222 etc.). I just saw the new U-Boat last week at a club meeting and it is very nice. I also notice that it is about the same size as a 1/32 F-105 but Revell AG is only retailing it at around fifty bucks!
I guess that other company, which seems to have become a lot of peoples "little darling" as of late is busy "blowing its own horn" and seeing if modelers will take notice of their trumpet blowing ;-O.
