[OT-slightly] Jigsaw puzzles of ships

Aug 31, 2003 4 Replies

I've noted lately several jigsaw puzzles in hobby shops of aircraft, WWII fighters etc and several trains, & they look pretty nice too. Anyone have any idea if there are any for old tall sailing ship types? I'm still searching the 'net but have not found much so I thought I'd ask the enlightened. Puzzle house does have a couple - so far. When its too cold out for glue to dry, a jigsaw puzzle can be a nice alternative.

I've got a nice 1000 piece puzzle of Tom Freeman's painting "A Payment in Iron" of the USS Constitution, cleared for action, entering Tripoli harbor in 1803.

HTH,

Revell (Germany?) issued at least two puzzles with sailing ship box art. I have two of them, but unfortunately they are in storage so I cannot check which ships they are. Rather simple, I've noted lately several jigsaw puzzles in hobby shops of aircraft,
