The usual gulf coast afternoon cloud bursts. If I remember right from my days at Kingsville, it typically builds up and rains in the afternoon. In Kingsville it used to rain so hard you couldn't see acoss the street, but only for ten miniutes or so - twice in an afternoon.

We got some fairly light rain the last two days, and a lightning advizory that made us have to clear the ramp and tow the jet inside. No flooding, but then, we were on the bayou so it was a basic swamp 24-7. Things would generally cool off a bit after the afternoon rain and the evenings were very pleasant. I enjoyed it.

hit any hobby or chrome shops?

Had time to hit two Harley shops, and one custom chopper shop. Looked like it was a former Indian dealer.

I did a Google searsh on hobby shops in Houston before I left - too many to count! I saw two or three in my transits, but I didn't get any time to check them out. They worked us pretty hard...I spent most of my off time trying to sleep, and not very well. Too wound.

I missed a tour of Mission Control hitting the Hog shops on Friday, now that I think about it...

it's not fair, you look like a kid and get to be passionate about work. too bad about indian, but some tin and an s&s stroker did not a marquee make, and the public knew it. i would have gone to mission control.

Yeah - same way with Titan. I remember me an a buddy hitting a Titan shop once and pointing out to him that all the bikes in the mechanics parking lot were Harleys.

We may have to go back next year...I'll be sure to get the tour then. If I don't break down and send them a resume...

Too bad for you it takes more than that. Like e said, you ain't got the stones, bro. Now don't be a lumphead and go down to the local bar tonight and try and prove anyone wrong. I promise you the mildest mannered guy will go medieval on your ass if he comes outside and finds you standing over his upended hog.
