Don't listen to those who don't know. It's actually better than it sounds. Really, it is.

And - it is mentioned in the song 'Down Under' by Men at Work :-

I have never tasted the stuff myself - I assume that it is an equivalent of the UK's Bovril yeast extract - which I don't like.

They (Bovril) have a great ad campaign though - along the lines of 'You either hate it or love it'

Do a Google for 'Vegemite' - loads of hits !!

Bovril and Vegemite are different in taste as chalk and cheese.

Just because they look the same doesn't mean they taste the same (said the bishop to the actress)

Doh!!!

My mistake - I was having a senior moment there!! (they are getting more frequent as I get older).

I didn't mean Bovril - I meant Marmite - that is the one with the ad campaign.

That is the English equivalent (and you will now rejoin with wimps equivalent?) of Vegemite.

Either way - I don't like the taste of Marmite yeast extract - so I doubt if I would like Vegemite.

We have Marmite here - it don't taste the same as Vegemite. (c: As an interesting aside, the bloke who invented Vegemite also tried marketing another product named Parwill... Ma might, Pa will - geddit? True story, apparently.

Are you coming down to Brisbane for QMHE05 ?

I have a couple of full bottles of Future posted to me from the US using USPS. You want half a bottle, it's yours if you can hold out to August.

lol Shane - who's the left bastard this year? No, I don't think I'll be in Brisbane this year - my little protest at the way you guys never seem to make it up here, despite our seniority... (c: Seriously, if all goes according to plan and I can get my sh.. err act together, I'm planning a long trip to the UK, leaving about mid-April, so QMHE will be a long journey back just for a model competition.

As for the Future, it's on its way from the US - via USPS surface... I

*might* just get it before I leave, but I won't be holdng my breath. Thanks anyway, hope the 05 show is good for you all.

PS Don't forget to keep the May Day weekend free for a trip to the tropical north... no rivet counters, FS merchants, or anti-fun squads allowed. Anyone who violates these rules will be sent home with a poke in the eye and a kick in the pants! This is a hobby, we have fun!
