Does anyone know why 2005 now produces a bitmap instead of a vector PDF like previous SW releases?

It might be because one of your drawing views is "shaded"
Under page setup, Resolution and Scale, uncheck the High Quality checkbox. The software that generates the PDF uses bitmap with this box checked, and vector with it unchecked. MZ
