Mastercam X3 MU1 Feature Based Drilling

Here is a shot of Mastercam X3 MU1 showing Feature Based Drilling. This is an example file furnished by CNC Software that is supposed to show how to use Feature Based Drilling.

Notice that in CNC Software's example file that there are 3 machining operations the Machining Operation Manager Tree (Operations 20, 21 and

22 all are spotting operations using a 1/2" Spot Drill.).

I didn't spend much time with this but it doesn't appear that the real, fake Joe788's claim is correct which is that Mastercam can do what SolidCAM can do... put the three spotting operations that use the

1/2" Spot Drill into one machining operation in tree.

No surprise that the real, fake Joe788 is wrong / full of shit yet again.

Jon, can you please provide a quote where I ever said any such thing?

I asked why you would want all of the different drilling heights in the same operation? All that would do is complicate any editing. That's obviously the exact opposite of what you're claiming I said.

Since you've never used FBM Drill, and don't even have access to it or the software you're comparing it to, I'm not surprised by your confusion.

I know Mastercam sucks but it's all I know and I'm too stupid to learn anything else. Jon Banquer just showed where Mastercam FBM sucks and burned me again. I hate Jon Banquer! I wish I was smart enough to understand what Jon Banquer is talking about but I'm not. I'd much rather have 10 operations in the Mastercam Machining Operation Manager (tree) rather than one. The more the better I say!

Joe,

My guess is he is confusing the voices in his head with what he read on usenet.
